 Race 3

THE UPGUARDS HANDICAP (Class III)

1100 Mts.4.00 PM

1 Casha (P Trevor | 62.5kg | Draw 6)

Positives: Consistent form, narrowly beaten in last two runs at 1200m and 1400m. Winner in January over 1400m.

Negatives: Top weight (62.5kg) could be a challenge over 1100m. Needs a strong pace to close well.

Pace Angle: Likely to sit mid-pack and finish strongly

2 All Time Legend (Nikhil Naidu | 60.5kg | Draw 2)

Positives: Down in class after racing in Class II. Ran well in his last 1200m start, finishing 4th.

Negatives: Aging 7-year-old with inconsistent performances. Needs a perfect trip to feature.

Pace Angle: Will be handy, but may not have the speed to match younger rivals.

3 Kay Star (Imran Chisty | 60.5kg | Draw 1)

Positives: Just missed out in the last race at 1100m. Has strong recent form.

Negatives: Hasn't won in a while; vulnerable to younger horses.

Pace Angle: Likely to settle just off the pace and make a late surge.

4 Star Concept (Suraj Narredu | 60kg | Draw 5)

Positives: Won convincingly over 1100m last time. Good form in similar conditions.

Negatives: Has never carried 60kg before. Needs to prove he can handle the weight.

Pace Angle: Will be on pace or just behind the leaders, making a strong push late.

5 Light the World (Hindu Singh | 59kg | Draw 3)

Positives: Winner over 1200m in December. Ran well in March over 1100m, finishing close.

Negatives: Needs to step up to beat some strong rivals here.

Pace Angle: Likely to settle midfield and look for a late burst.

Race Analysis:

Pace Setup: Expect a solid pace with Star Concept and Kay Star pushing forward.

Fitness Factor: Casha is the fittest runner with consistent runs at different distances.

Class Drop Benefit: All Time Legend comes down from Class II but may lack the speed edge.

Verdict:

Strong Winning Chance: Star Concept (Good recent form, Suraj Narredu up, suited to 1100m).

Value Pick: Kay Star (Improving form, well-drawn).

Watch Out For: Casha (If pace is hot, can close well).
