Race 6

THE HINDU TROPHY

A Handicap for Horses Rated 60-86 (Class-II) (40 to 59 eligible) 1200 Mts 7.00 PM

1. Azrinaz (55.5 kg | A. Sandesh)

Recent Form: Very strong, consistently placing in top finishes.

Last Run: Finished 2nd on 20-Feb-2025 in a Class II, 1200m race, narrowly losing by 2½ lengths (1:09.04).

Prior to That: Won a 14m Class II race on 05-Jan-2025 (1:23.52).

Trainer/Jockey: A. Sandesh is a top jockey, giving a strong advantage.

Speed & Suitability: Proven ability to handle fast-paced Class II 1200m races.

Winning Chance: Strong contender for Win & Place.

2. Ataash (56 kg | Antony Raj S.)

Recent Form: Competitive in Class II races.

Last Run: Finished 3rd on 02-Feb-2025 in a Class II, 1200m race (1:09.13).

Prior Performance: Has been consistent in Class II & III, finishing close behind winners.

Track & Distance: Well-suited for 1200m with strong finishing speed.

Winning Chance: Strong Place contender, outside win chance.

3. Coeur De Lion (61 kg | Mustakim Alam)

Recent Form: Mixed form but has Class I experience.

Last Run: Finished 4th in a 1600m Class I race (1:36.37), dropping to Class II now.

Class Drop Factor: Moving from Class I to Class II makes him a dangerous contender if he handles the 1200m drop well.

Jockey/Trainer: Mustakim Alam gets the ride, but weight is a concern at 61 kg.

Winning Chance: Strong chance if weight is not a major issue.

4. Fighton (57 kg | N.S. Parmar)

Recent Form: Strong Class II win on 22-Dec-2024 over 1200m (1:10.74).

Speed Factor: Handles fast-paced races well and has top-end speed.

Weight & Jockey: 57 kg is reasonable; N.S. Parmar is a solid rider.

Winning Chance: Place chance, but needs to improve from last run.

Final Prediction:

1. Strong Win Contenders: Fighton, Ataash

2. Place Contenders: Coeur De Lion, Azrinaz

Race 7

THE RACE MIRROR TROPHY A Handicap for Indian Horses Rated 20-46 (Class-IV) (0 to 19 eligible) 1400 Mts.7.30 PM

1. Believe (133) – Bhawani Singh

Has been consistent in Class III races.

Last ran in Class IV (26 Feb) and finished 4th, just 6 lengths behind Mighty Sparrow.

Has experience at this level and is carrying top weight (59kg).

Class Dropper – Strong contender, but weight could be a factor.

2. Hagibis (101) – Mustakim Alam

Recent 2nd place in Class IV (2 Feb, 1400m) in 1:22.41, which is a strong timing for this class.

Was just a short head behind The Mileni F, showing a competitive run.

Lightly weighted at 57.5kg, making him a good prospect.

3. Chardikala (103d) – P. Trevor

Finished 2nd behind Hagibis in the last race (2 Feb).

Has a top jockey (P. Trevor), which is a positive booking.

Distance suits – Ran well over 1400m in 1:22.41 (identical time to Hagibis).

Good chance, especially with Trevor on board.

4. Chelsea (129c) – R. Ajinkya

Performed decently in shorter trips (1000m, 1200m) but 1400m is untested territory.

Has form in lower grades but needs to prove stamina for 1400m.

Place chance at best.

5. Empower (122) – Antony Raj S.

Won a Class III 1200m race in 1:10.01 but struggled over longer distances.

1400m might be too long based on previous performances.

Questionable over the trip.

6. Etoile (101) – A. Prakash

Won a 1400m race in Class IV (1:26.82), which is slower than rivals like Hagibis & Chardikala.

Not an ideal pace setup – likely to be caught in a battle for the lead.

Outside chance, but may fade late.

7. Scorsese (122) – T.S. Jodha

Finished 4th to Ardakan (1:23.34) in Class IV, then 3rd in Class IV (1:22.41).

Close in ability to Hagibis & Chardikala, but slightly behind them in terms of turn of foot.

Good each-way chance.

Betting Strategy:

Win: Hagibis (value pick)

Place: Chardikala, Scorsese

Exacta/Trifecta: Hagibis – Chardikala – Scorsese/Believe

Race 1 The Star Shine Trophy Div. II (1200m, Class 4) Cinderella’s Dream has shown early speed in past races but tends to settle mid-pack. Windborne has led before and could set the pace. Manor House has raced prominently but lacks a strong finishing kick. Shirsa prefers a stalking position and has experience at longer distances. New Yorker and Fleetwood are lightly raced and unpredictable in pace setup. A moderate pace is likely, with Windborne and Manor House taking early positions, while Cinderella’s Dream and Shirsa sit off the pace. Key Contenders 1. Cinderella’s Dream (59kg, Draw 4) Won on 29-12-2024 in Class 4 over 1200m. Finished 2nd to Quicker last start. Consistent performer with 1:11-range timings. Weight (59kg) could be a concern. 2 .
